Playing in the browser
voidkargo runs in the browser on WebGPU, with nothing to install. Play on a computer, a tablet or a phone, with a mouse, a keyboard or touch.
Supported browsers
- Chrome or Edge 113 or later on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS
- Chrome 121 or later on Android 12 or later
- Safari 26 or later on macOS, iPadOS and iOS
- Firefox 141 or later on Windows, 147 or later on macOS
When a browser lacks WebGPU, the game says so straight away and shows this list.
On your home screen
Add the game to your home screen and your shift runs full screen, like an app. In Safari on an iPhone or iPad, open Share and choose Add to Home Screen. Browsers that offer installation themselves show an Install button on the game's opening screen.
The landing page recognises a signed-in device and shows a single primary button, Resume your shift, which goes straight into the game.
Settings
The gear in the game opens Settings:
- Language: Czech or English; switching reloads the page.
- Guide: a link here.
- Notifications: the browser notifies you only while the game's tab is hidden: a tender won, a Charter Board claim, a new era, a gate opened and a ship waiting at a dock with nothing to do.
- Music and Sounds switch on and off separately.
- Graphics: Auto picks one of three levels from your device's performance and shows which in brackets. Low turns off the glow and edge smoothing, Medium keeps the glow and High turns both on. A change applies at once, without a reload.
The connection
The badge next to the wordmark in the top bar shows the connection to the server. When the connection drops, the game reconnects by itself. Opening the game in another tab moves the connection there; Resume here brings it back to the first tab.
On a narrow screen the top bar's stats hide one by one. Credits and the season clock always stay.
