The Charter Board and tenders

The Charter Board is a board of 25 corporations that sets the rules for the week ahead. The syndicates compete for its votes with deliveries. Tenders and titles reward single companies.

A Board term

A term lasts 7 days, one per era. The Board panel shows the 5 × 5 grid of corporations, the time to the end of the term, the syndicate treasury and each syndicate's claims and terms won.

Every day 5 corporations open, and each posts a requisition: deliver an amount of a good to a station of the syndicate, or, for every sixth corporation, capture a dormant node. Requisitions grow with the day of the term and with the number of active companies. The first syndicate to fill a requisition claims that corporation's proxy vote, and its cell in the grid takes the syndicate's light. Fills in the same step count as simultaneous.

A term won adds 5 standing points for the season's end.

Directives

The winning syndicate's companies then vote for one day on one of three offered directives. A vote is weighted by what the company contributed to the term; a node capture counts as 100. The chosen directive rules the whole next term, and the top bar shows which one and for how long. The rival sees that the winner is choosing.

Effect Applies to
No tariff anywhere the winner
Rivals' upkeep at 115 % the rival
Jump fees at 70 % the winner
Stations export 25 % more Labour the winner
Industries produce 15 % more the winner
Tender rewards at 125 % the winner

Each term of the season has a fixed set of three directives on offer, and the panel shows each one's name and what it does.

Tenders

Every 6 game hours each syndicate posts tenders at three home stations, always mirrored with its rival. A tender asks for one good and stays open for one round. Deliver the good to that station on any route.

Titles

Each day, the three companies that delivered the most of a good for their syndicate hold that good's title, for example Ore Baron · Zarya. Titles carry 30, 15 and 8 prestige. The Tenders panel lists the holders, your syndicate first.
